SACCARDO was established in
1963 as electrical-mechanical company manufacturing standard
asynchronous motors.
Gradually, during the years, its production has developed
going towards the production of complex rotating electrical
machines: spindle for marble's machines with protection grade
IP 65; asynchronous frequency converters, with frequency until
400 Hz; high speed frequency motors with speed until 24.000
rpm.
Towards 1976 Saccardo starts the production of synchronous
generators with a range of frequency from 50 to 400 Hz. In
particular, the last ones were manufactured for aeronautic
and military applications. This quality increase in the field
of technical project and designing was made involving engineers
with long and specific international experience in this sector.
Since 20 years Saccardo is one of the European leading companies
on synchronous generators until 350 kVA.
On August 22, 1986
it was established NUOVA SACCARDO MOTORI s.r.l.
Presently our factories have consolidated the production of
synchronous single phase brushless and autoregulated three
phase alternators, for small, medium and high power, for specific
applications in the power generation field and to the manufacturing
of special electrical machines, as frequency converters synchronous-synchronous
and asynchronous-synchronous for the most different applications
as airports ground power supply or measuring the "partial
discharge" on big transformers; on the production of
asynchronous frequency converters for its typical applications,
for example machinery for wood machining.
The present range of production
for traditional industrial generation, includes synchronous
AC generators from 1 to 350 kVA at 50 Hz frequency and from
1,3 to 380 kVA at 60 Hz frequency, single and three phase,
both 2 or 4 pole.
The Automatic Voltage Regulator "AVR" is available
on bigger machines.
The range of Nuova Saccardo Motori is completed with small/medium
rotating welding-generators from 120 through 250 Amp. AC or
DC.
We are proud to include among our customers ENEL, CESI, AERITALIA,
FIAT ENGINEERING in Italy, EDF, BOSCH, ABB abroad.
The research and development
of machines to be manufactured according to specific standards
requirements or to particular norms and regulations requested
by our customers, involve precise importance in our Company
philosophy.
The Technical department takes great care on new projects
concerning the directives and recommendations of the International
Standards and Norms Organisations of the sector (IEC, CENELEC,
CEI. ISO, UNI, etc.) in order to guarantee a product always
updated technologically and according to the standards as,
for example, CE Directives "Low Voltage" and "EMC".
Guarantee of a reliable product
has a great importance in our company, giving constant attention
during the designing phase and the final tests: all above
with the target to minimise the incidence of problems to the
customer during the period of life of our products.

February 2004 NSM has been certified ISO 9001:2000 from TUV UK
QA.
